If you're anything like me, you love to shop for your reborn dolls too. Since I can't shop for a real baby, I absolutely love shopping for my reborn dolls.
I might shop too often, but the one bonus is that they'll never grow out of anything. If anyone grows out of something, it's me because my style has changed. Since I started collecting reborn dolls in April, my clothing style choices have also changed tremendously. I have part of a nursery in my bedroom and then a playroom too. The playroom is a combo room with other furniture that isn't mine. Someday I dream have having a big play room and combined nursery area. It is always good to dream and the more I dream about it, I do hope it will come true.
Right now, my all time favorite places to shop are the Gap and H&M. I also shop at TJ Maxx, Marshalls and Burlington too. Out of those, I shop the most at the Gap and H&M right now.
I used to love Carters, but since my style has changed, I don't shop there as much. I really love the organic cotton outfits that I've found. I also prefer neutral and pastel colors. I don't really put my reborn dolls into anything with bright colors or crazy patterns. If the outfit is patterned, it has to be easy on the eyes and compliment accessories that I add.
Headbands with bows are my absolute favorite hair accessory.
Another benefit to shopping for my reborn dolls is that their clothes never get dirty. I will wash any dark colored clothing item before I let them wear it. I want to make sure any dye from the clothing doesn't transfer onto the doll. If I were a mom of a real baby, I would do the same thing. It's also fun to wash your reborns clothes for the first time. I absolutely love folding their clothes too!! I will do another blog post on my best tips for folding clothes to maximize your drawer space.
